Abstract: Microlearning, characterized by short, focused learning segments, has the potential to enhance skill acquisition in vocational programs by providing flexible and targeted learning experiences. This study examines the impact of microlearning on skill acquisition and its effectiveness in vocational education. The objectives are: (1) to identify the benefits of microlearning for vocational students, (2) to evaluate the impact of microlearning on skill acquisition and retention, and (3) to assess student and educator perceptions of microlearning. A survey research design is employed, justified by the need to collect detailed feedback from students and educators about their experiences with microlearning. The sample size includes 350 participants selected through purposive sampling to include a diverse range of vocational programs. The case study focuses on vocational training institutions in Kwara State, which have adopted microlearning techniques. Findings indicated that microlearning significantly enhanced skill acquisition and retention, providing students with flexible and focused learning opportunities. Both students and educators reported positive experiences with microlearning, highlighting its convenience and effectiveness. Recommendations included integrating microlearning segments into vocational curricula, providing training for educators on microlearning techniques, and continuously evaluating the impact of microlearning on student performance.
